Christmas Eve at Ilomba

A couple days before Christmas, my family and I spent three days at Hotel Ilomba, in Kribi. It was a great first time for us, as the hotel, its staff and the locals were all so respectful and friendly to us.
BEDROOMS
The hotel rooms and bathrooms are very spacious with an indoor and outdoor salon. My favourite thing about our rooms was the outdoor salon's view of the pool located right in front of our suite. The pool is open 24/7 and starting from 9 pm the pool lights up giving the water a cool dark blue colour (it's so nice!).
THE BEACH
The beach is equally as cool however because of the high tides in the night the beach is off limits starting at 5 pm. That unfortunately means no romantic feet-in-the-water walks there.
After spending five years in the Canadian cold, where -30 degrees celsius is the norm, this trip was a refreshing breeze of--very hot-- air in our lives. With each day being filled with new discoveries, we'd often be too tired to watch tv or even surf on internet at the end of the day. It was a wonderful way to officially start the holiday vacations before spending Christmas with our family on the 25th.
